Update 13th July 2021- Covid-19 mitigation measures at

Our Lady of Good COunsel Hythe after

Monday 19 July 2021

Though the Government has removed the statutory requirements for wearing

masks and maintaining 'Space', after consultation with

many of our congregation family, this Parish will be maintaining the

'Hands (hand sanitising),

Face (mask wearing)

Space (Spacing in the pews within the church)

mitigation measures of the last few months while the Covid-19 virus

is still so transmissible and gaining in

numbers of infections within communities.

We will maintain the restriction of no congragational singing while

the Covid-19 infection rate is still increasing UFN.

We still need to comply with Track and Trace instructions and put our

names and contact details on the sheets provided

or scan the QR Code

All attendees should still wear masks and sanitise their hands as they enter the church.

We will still need to book in for Mass at the weekends as these Masses are likely to

be busier, and will still need stewards to control those

coming into the church at the weekend.

Further changes will be considered by the Bishops of England and Wales

in the light of future government changes to the regulations.

To ensure the best Covid -19 safely measures are applied for everyone's

protection, you will have to book in for weekend Masses:

the best way is to email Dcn John on johnboughton@sky.com

or text/call John (his number is on the Bulletin accessible via the Parish website: www.virginmotherofgoodcounsel.com.)

Please arrive in good time to allow for mask donning,

hand sanitizing and name recording.

Please also remember to maintain social distancing in the

car park and  on the steps leading up to the church.

Thank you.

For everyone's greater protection, Fr. Jim now gives out

Holy Communion under a screen: you need only to put your hands

under this screen to receive Holy Communion.

As ever, stewards are needed for Saturday vigil and Sunday masses to ensure

Covid-19 safety precautions: without stewards congregation attendance

is not permitted under current C-19 restrictions.

If you are able to assist please contact Dcn John.

Fr. Jim will continue to Broadcast/Stream masses via

With every blessing
Dcn John
